1S & 2S Charging Configuration
The TP5100 module can be configured according to the battery pack being used:
1S Configuration:
1 × Li-ion cell → 4.2V charging
2S Configuration:
2 × Li-ion cells in series → 8.4V charging
When using multiple cells in series, ensure the cells are properly matched and that the overall battery pack is suitable for the charging configuration.
⚠️ Important Safety Information
This module is a charger, not necessarily a complete battery protection/BMS solution. For battery packs requiring overcharge, over-discharge, over-current, and short-circuit protection, use an appropriate protection/BMS circuit.
Always verify the selected charging voltage before connecting the battery:
- 4.2V mode → 1S battery
- 8.4V mode → 2S battery
Do not connect a single 3.7V cell to the 8.4V charging configuration. Incorrect charging voltage can damage the battery and may create a fire or safety hazard.
