The LM393 Optical Photosensitive LDR Light Sensor Module is a compact and reliable light detection module designed to sense ambient light intensity using an LDR (Light Dependent Resistor) and an LM393 voltage comparator IC. This module outputs both digital and analog signals, enabling easy interfacing with Arduino, ESP32, Raspberry Pi, and other microcontrollers for a wide range of automation and light-sensing applications.
With adjustable sensitivity via an onboard potentiometer, it is ideal for applications like automatic lighting systems, smart street lights, solar tracking, and light-activated switches. The dual output feature allows developers to monitor precise light intensity levels (analog) or trigger threshold-based events (digital).
Operating Voltage: 3.3V – 5V DC
Detection Mechanism: Light-dependent resistance (LDR)
Comparator IC: LM393 Dual Comparator
Output Signals:
Analog Output (AO): Real-time light intensity measurement
Digital Output (DO): Threshold-based trigger (adjustable)
Onboard Potentiometer: Sensitivity adjustment for digital output
Status LEDs: Power indicator and digital output indicator
Compact PCB Design: Easy integration into Arduino Shields and embedded projects
Compatible With: Arduino, ESP32, Raspberry Pi, and other development boards
